Santa Barbara, CA-- A big box beverage store proposed for an Upper State Street neighborhood, has some residents over flowing with concerns.

Depending on who you talk to, the opening of a BevMo beverage store, is either good for the area, or it will cause traffic problems and be a risky business for the area.

The site where the store has applied for an alcohol beverage control sales license is on State Street and De La Vina.

Those who work and live in the area have raised concerns saying, traffic and other impacts to a nearby neighborhood with a school, are a big worry.

One resident said, the BevMo store is not a problem, and with the closing of the current furniture store, he wants to see another business open and not see a vacancy.
